Not a single dropof water will pass through this roof covering. The benefits of EPDM rubber are:

Superior Durability and Longevity
EPDM offers unmatched resistance to ozone, UV radiation, extremes of low andhigh temperatures, and ultimately ageing.

 HighFlexibility and Elongation
EPDM remains highly flexible even at temperatures down to -45 0 C. The membranecan also elongate over 300% to accommodate building movements.

 LowLife-Cycle Cost
EPDM requires no maintenance. This feature, combined with the inherentdurability and competitive installed cost result in a very low life-cycle cost.

Environmentally Friendly
EPDM is an inert material with limited environmental impact during manufactureand use. EPDM manufacturing facilities have received ISO 14001 certificationfor their environmental management system.

Can EPDM be used on all flat roofs?

How much does it cost?

Comparable to the old felt system, Epdm costs the same or even less see exsample.

Old felt system on a small roof  £500.00  over 30 years would have to be replaced twice = £ 1000.00 or more.

Techniques EPDM system,  £980.00   over the same 30 year period it would still cost  = £ 980.00
over a 50 year period it would still cost the same £980.00 as it would not have to be replaced, or repaired.

FELT?

As a product that's being around for a long time, and we all have got acustum to seeing it on garages and the like, but its days are numbered, as a single product it is posible to get a 20 year garuantee on it, this is where the main problem arises as the joints and pitch that is use don't come under the garantee period its on the product (the Felt) so all those joints can and will at some point leak, as EPDM is  a one piece covering system it has no joints, no pitch, no place to leak.
